1st Call

The aim of the workshop is to stimulate research and a lively academic exchange in the field of Medieval Archeology, Medieval Architecture and IT. The workshop


ArhIn 2013 Informatics in the research and valorization of the medieval architecture (October 25th -27th, 2013)


is organized by Department of History, Patrimony and Protestant Theology in cooperation with Department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering from ”Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu and Romanian Academy, Institute of Socio-Human Research, Sibiu and will be held at Golden Tulip Hotel, Sibiu.

The team of the grant ArhIn invites authors to submit their title and abstract before

11th of October 2013


The workshop aims to analyze the implication of the IT tools in the research of medieval ecclesiastical architecture and the academic utility of 3D reconstruction software.

The language of the workshop will be Romanian and English and we receives contributions under the form of unpublished articles written in English which will be published in a special volume of Studia Universitatis Cibiniensis in year 2014.

Title and abstract should be submitted using the online form at the address

The abstract (in English and Romanian) should be submitted as a single file in *.doc (Microsoft Word) format (or edited in Open Office) and should not exceed 250 characters.

The submitted abstract should be arranged as follows: (1) title, (2) author’s name, (3) author affiliation and email address, (4) key words, (5) English abstract, (6) Romanian abstract.
