CALL FOR PAPERS

On behalf of the Archaeology, Architecture and Informatics Project (ArhIn Project - PCE_PNII-ID-PCE-2011-3-0744 - South Transylvanian Medieval Monuments: Past-Present-Future. Between Archeology, History and 3D Modeling), the Committee of International Conference ArhIn2015 launch a call for papers relating to .:

ArhIn2015

MEDIEVAL CHANGING LANDESCAPE:

SETTLEMENTS, MONASTERIES AND FORTIFICATIONS

(8th-13th C.)

The Committee welcomes papers on any related topic. Suggested topics may include:

  • Archeology of Medieval Churches and Monasteries
  • Archaeology of Early Medieval Settlements
  • Archeology of Medieval Fortifications
  • Landscape Archaeology and 3d modeling

Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work at the Conference ArhIn2015 MEDIEVAL CHANGING LANDESCAPE: SETTLEMENTS, MONASTERIES AND FORTIFICATIONS. In addition, the papers will be published in the conference volume.

Call Paper Timetable:
Timely submission of the papers is critical to the success of the program. The procedures and timetable enumerated below will apply.

  1. Deadline for Proposals

By June 10, 2015, authors should submit a 200 words proposal in English for their papers including the title.   1. Acceptance of Proposals

By June 15, 2015 the Committee will make a decision on all proposals. The number of accepted proposals might be limited. The Committee will contact authors regarding their proposals.

  1. Presenting the Paper

Authors will be invited to present their papers at the International Conference ArhIn2015 - MEDIEVAL CHANGING LANDESCAPE: SETTLEMENTS, MONASTERIES AND FORTIFICATIONS scheduled for June 26th - 28th, 2015 in Sibiu. Each invited author should make every effort to attend the and present his/her paper. These authors will be contacted in advance of the meeting. The accommodation during the conference days will be supported by the organizers.

  1. Completion Date

By October 16, 2015, the Committee must receive the completed paper with a 200-word abstract, both in English language. Each paper will be screened by the Committee to assure its quality of exposition and relevance to the call. The Committee may require further rewriting of the paper to bring it to the best standard.

  1. Approving the Completed Paper

By November 8, 2015, all authors will have been notified as to the results of this screening process. Before that time, the Committee will try to give authors time to respond to comments from the screening process. Accepted papers will be published in the ArhIn2015 volume and will be available on the ArhIn web page. The Committee reserves the right to not publish a submission.

  1. Submission Guidelines

Papers must be no more than 12,000 words and should be prepared in accordance with the Guidelines for papers submission. Authors will be required to execute a “Permission to Publish” form, which formally grants the ArhIn2015 permission to publish the paper.

The Committee looks forward to receiving proposals in response to the call, and is happy to respond to inquiries from interested parties.
